Hello to all of our friends, supporters, customers and associates,

After a lot of thought, consideration, memories and emotions, we have decided to lay the name, brand and operation of Ranui Gardens to rest. Founded in 1984, it has gone through three owners and slight changes to the overall business, but has consistently grown some of the best, most nutritious and delicious food in Utah. Our legacy will live on and we are all looking forward to continuing to contribute our knowledge and experience to agriculture in Summit County, Utah and beyond.

This season we are going to take a break from the rigors of commercial small-scale farming and focus on what will happen beyond this year. This season, Andrea will continue to live on and work the Hoytsville property. John and Sue will continue to do the same in Oakley and develop their plan to continue growing there. We are all addicted to and inspired by gardening and growing food and flowers, so that certainly will continue in some capacity. There are still a lot of unknowns for all of us, but we are starting to work on visions and plans for the next steps.

We want to thank all of you for being our customers over the years and truly supporting the regenerative agriculture movement. Without your commitment, the evolving work of enhancing more sustainable land and food systems would not be possible. Please feel free to contact us personally to hear what is developing and in store for us. Fortunately, there are a lot of new, young farmers taking root along the Wasatch back. There are also a lot of fantastic growers in the Salt Lake Valley and all over Utah. While there are too many to name, support them when you have the chance. Supporting any of us has a ripple effect and will contribute to the greater movement of local food in Utah.

Much gratitude,

Andrea, John and Sue
